I tried formatting my internal memory on the advance setting for an hour now. Does it take this long? Did it freeze? My reader won't switch off and I read here that you can fix it by doing this. Does it need to be connceted to my computer?

The screen shows and exclamation point and "Formatting Internal Memory..."

Please help I'm really having problems after problems on my reader.
