And going back much farther, anybody else remember the claims that the Microsoft Mantra was "DOS isn't done until Lotus won't run"? And I vividly remember when the forced change to Windows 3.1 came about, and there was no appliction software available from anybody but Microsoft. Microsoft would no longer license DOS for sale and only released Windows APIs to developers at the last minute.
