As if I have 2 to 2.5 million euros in my back pocket to buy the building and restore it. And I don't even want to run my own business.
After a dozen or so of those customers (some just come into the store to ask and not buy anything) I get a bit cranky and short with people when they ask.
Just four (maybe five) more weeks of this, then we're closing the store. The new owner wants to start renovating the store and basement in September and we need time to go through everything, let colleagues get the stuff they want that's left over and remove any bookkeeping and take items we want to keep. What's left over we can leave for the new owner to deal with. We can live upstairs until just before Christmas if that is necessary.

Maybe you should hang up a (large) sign that says:
Quote:
"Unless you're going to give me $2.5M EU, to buy the building and refurbish it, etc. NO, I am not buying the business and not remaining to run it."
