Being one of the less than 13% of the human population that grew up in the USA.
Graduating from school (though home schooling more popular in USA than elsewhere for those with a choice), eating burgers & French fries, driving a car and voting Democrat or Republican.
Saying Paris, France so it's not confused with somewhere in the USA.
Then there are hyphenated Americans. A phenomenon that hardly exists in other countries. Many of them seem to be average Americans with a dash of ethnicity differentiating them from the dominant WASP (at least maybe they are dominant in the East, not in Utah and other places).
Actually USA is like a collection of countries and those that dominate want to fit everyone into a standard Average American mould (cookie cutter?). The "real" Americans don't get much visibility.
