I assume MapleRead doesn't read the calibre database, but instead you export the book to MapleRead using save-to-disk, send-to-device, or the content server. You would use a plugboard to change the title in the metadata of the book you send by one of these methods.

If instead you are using some cloud thing to make the book stored in the calibre library available to IOS then I can see changing the title, although personally I would switch to an export method instead of changing the title. You would need to use bulk S&R to change the title in the database to what you want then use Polish (or other methods such as Modify Epub) to update the metadata in the book itself.

I use content server to send calibre ebooks to MapleRead. BTW if I send a book to Marvin from MapleRead it does show up in the title. The problem must be with MapleRead (or something I've set wrong in MapleRead). So evidently the only way I can get the series into MapleRead title is if I put the series in the title myself.
