(I remember reading at least a couple of Terry Dowling shorts in the old OMNI science magazine...it might have been mid-to-late 80's. Fascinating stories. I left it a long time, for some reason, but only late last year I finally bought the four Tom Rynosseros books. They're still TBR, but they're
