I don't think I would be able to stitch without a hoop. The loose fabric would drive me crazy.
On my big project I work on a Q-Snap, I like that because the thicker frame is more comfortable to hold than a thin hoop. I also like that it's square, less moving of the fabric is necessary. But with the project I'm currently working on I also work on it in the store, so I carry it around. And a Q-Snap is too heavy and bulky.
Tomorrow evening I'm going to order a bunch of cross stitch supplies. Including the heavy quality hoops and I'm also going to order a Nurge square hoop to try out.
