I'm pretty "old coot-ish" myself--as are many of us here on MR. Sure, there are days when I'd love to retire, but you can bet your skivvies that I would strenuously resent someone else telling me that I 'should.'

I agree that the ill (which are contagious or may be) should stay the hell home. I used to send home my secretaries, who invariably came in, just to show everybody how dedicated and hardworking they were. Oish;.
