The only time I really needed Kobo Desktop was when I messed with patches too much and had to do a factory reset. After that I could no longer register my Kobo Aura One using wi fii. Anyway yes Kobo Desktop for Linux might be a good idea but I don't think there will ever be a chance to have it.
