Please ensure that the directories where Calibre is storing its data is not on a NAS device or a One drive/idrive/google/any old cloud based backup system. Any system that has a 2 way backup /sync will cause corruption at some point.
If you read the OP's first post, the database became corrupted when the computer power cycled.
