If your database has corrupted itself once then in all likelihood it will happen again unless you find the root cause.

Please ensure that the directories where Calibre is storing its data is not on a NAS device or a One drive/idrive/google/any old cloud based backup system. Any system that has a 2 way backup /sync will cause corruption at some point.
