I thought the Shadow & Bone (S&B) concept had a lot going for it; really could have had legs, but OMG, the protagonist just annoyed the holy s**t out of me, with her indecisiveness and her equivocating. How you "root" for someone who is such a whiny "me me me" type of person and acting like everything is too hard, too this and too that, when you are the HOPE of the world...the "one" and all that...sweet Moses on a Pony. And to have two men, if not more, chasing her a$$?

Jeeeeze, if I were wired that way (women, rather than men) I'd have run from her loooooong ago.
