Why does my brand new Kobo Nia keeps claiming the battery has to be charged every 2 h
Hi, I bought a Kobo Nia fuve days ago and find it very conveninent but I am encountering the following behaviour:
As soon as I bought it, I quickly sideloaded a book and started reading, expecting the devince to be somewhat 50% or 60% charged. I quickly noticed a battery icon showing the device was ~90% charged, and I started reading.
After 90 minutes of reading, I suddenly had a message claiming the device has to be charged. I was surprised but I charged it. During the charging process, I could read the battery was ~80% or ~85% at the beginning, and after a while, I got it to 100%. I waiting a little, then unplugged it and started reading again.
After 90 minutes or 2 hours (cumulated) of reading, I got the message again. This time, I was pretty sure the battery was no less than 90%. I restarted the device with the physicial button, and after restart, the device was obviously 90% charged. I could read further with no problem.
Again, after about the same cumulated time, I got the message this morning. I restarted the device again, and obviously I am still at 85%. I could read further a while but decided to ask the question:
Is it some known normal behaviour for the first battery cycle? Obviously the battery is working as it should, and there is truly no noticeable sign of weak charge, but I can't really understand the current behaviour and I find it very annoying, and if it is some defect, I would like to go to the shop back as soon as tomorrow.
