Use Calibre to fix either old mobi or old epub by conversion rules. Do epub 1st and then azw3 from epub if needed.

There was also an author that popularised the "Crime is 100% presented to reader, who knows who did it" and then you read how the detective solves it. Most famous on TV as Lt. Colombo.

So spoilers don't always spoil a story.
