Lindsay Buroker's Heritage of Power box set is on sale for 99¢

Spoiler:
Dragons have returned to the world, and they’re wreaking havoc on human civilizations.

Only one man has the power to stop them.

Born an outcast who’s never fit in, Telryn “Trip” Yert has spent his entire life hiding a secret that could get him killed:

In a world where magic is forbidden, the ancient blood of dragons flows through his veins.

Joined by a snarky sentient sword, a band of equally snarky allies, and the smart scholarly woman he longs to impress, Trip must master his powers, learn the secrets of his heritage, and go on a quest to save mankind. If he fails, dragons may take over the world and enslave all of humanity.

This is the complete five-novel Heritage of Power series, full of adventure, romance, and fast-paced page-turning fun.

It includes:

Dragon Storm
Revelations
Origins
Unraveled
Gold Dragon

This is a spin-off/sequel series to the Dragon Blood series. The published order of the books is:
  • Balanced on a Blade's Edge (Dragon Blood #1)
  • Deathmaker (Dragon Blood #2)
  • Blood Charged (Dragon Blood #3)
  • Patterns in the Dark (Dragon Blood #4)
  • The Blade's Memory (Dragon Blood #5)
  • Under the Ice Blades (Dragon Blood #5.5)
  • Raptor (Dragon Blood #6)
  • Soulblade (Dragon Blood #7)
  • The Fowl Proposal (Dragon Blood #7.1)
  • Shattered Past
  • Dragon Rider (Dragon Blood #7.5)
  • Crazy Canyon (Dragon Blood #7.7)
  • Dragon Storm (Heritage of Power #1)
  • Revelations (Heritage of Power #2)
  • Origins (Heritage of Power #3)
  • Unraveled (Heritage of Power #4)
  • Gold Dragon (Heritage of Power #5)
  • Heritage of Power: Bonus Scenes (Heritage of Power #5.1)
  • Oaths (Dragon Blood #8)
Both the Dragon Blood series and Heritage of Power series have overarching plots so the books should be read in order, though you could read the Heritage of Power series without first reading Dragon Blood.

As for the romance factor: The Dragon Blood series concentrates on two main couples who basically get their HEAs early as the books are more about what happens afterwards. Plus a novella about a secondary couple and a side book about another couple The Heritage of Power series features another couple. I wouldn't say the romances are the main focus of either series, but there's plenty of romance in them if that makes sense.

TL;DR this box set could easily be read as a stand-alone series, but IMHO more enjoyable if you've read the Dragon Blood series first.

Also the books are all available in Kobo Plus.
