I don't mind having some physical buttons, they're useful occasionally depending on my reading position. On the PocketBook HD3 the buttons make the bottom bezel area larger, but my thumb takes up that space when reading one-handed, so it's ergonomically useful.
A 6" reader is the perfect allrounder for me, I've had a couple of even smaller devices, great little travel companions. If I want a larger device at home I employ the lifehack of moving it closer to my face.
