I watched part of Pearl Harbor movie from 2001 last night (HBO Max). It is over 3 hours and most of it is a love story/triangle. I'd seen it at the movies and forgot that this one doesn't have much about the radar detection of the Japanese jets. The movie that is more factual was 1970 Tora! Tora! Tora! which is only available as a rental.
We had a family friend when I was growing up, George E. Elliott, who was the private who saw the activity on the radar and insisted on reporting it and even after they did they were told by the officer that it was probably just U.S. planes from San Francisco, so they were ignored and the rest is history.
I also rewatched the latest episode of Succession.
