Dead pixels

After a week with my new 2E, I noticed two dead pixels on the screen. I didn't notice them earlier, because they only show up when that part of the screen is black. I tried refreshing the screen, displaying black, then white images, a power cycle, nothing helped.

At 300 ppi, it's probably more than just single pixels, as they both are quite noticeable with a black background. In fact, one of the two looks larger and whiter than the other.

So, it's on it's way back to Amazon for a replacement. BTW, I noticed that Amazon dropped the price $20 in the past week. I got them to give me a $20 credit.

I have owned several e-ink readers over the years. This is the first time I've seen dead pixels on one. This used to be common on LCD screens, back in the day. Has anyone else had dead pixels on an e-ink screen?
