I also wanted to see if they could help me. The first thing the assistant asked me was my name and I couldn't get it out. My throat was clogged with stuff and I started a coughing spell. Even after she got me some water, I had the problem, so I too a cough drop from my bag. The doctor didn't know what it is, but he checked my breathing for pneumonia, which it isn't. He mentioned Prednisone and I told him I'm not taking that. He gave me prescription for a cough suppressant. I thought it would be a syrup, but it's pills. Benzonatate, which I'd never heard of, so I looked it up after I got home. He also prescribed an antibiotic to take if this is still going on after 5 days.
I won't know the PCR test result until at least Tuesday or Wednesday.

I had covid a little more than 2 weeks ago and one of my symptoms was a sore throat, so much that even swallowing saliva hurt, but I had no respiratory issues and no cough, the sore throat improved around the 8 days the beginning of the symptoms, but around the 10th day I started to feel my chest thing with mucus, I started with a syrup that I’ve used before for this, and it helped some but sometimes the mucus seems to get stuck In my throat and I have to cough to clean it, sometimes just the air passing leads to a coughing episode, talking also seems to aggravate it.
It also affected me mentally, I had no desire to do anything and I was always tired, my sofa saw a lot of me this last 2 weeks, but Sunday I was able to go do my morning walk, not a full one but enough for me to feel like I’m getting back to normal, and yesterday I was able to start a new sewing project, so the funk seems to have lifted.
Hope you feel well soon and that is not Covid.
