Also the Calibre FAQ explains to ONLY use local drives (USB, SCSI, eSATA etc count as local). A NAS, Share from other computer, any cloud storage are NOT local drives.
If you want to backup the Calibre Library use Export (and later Import). If really concerned about off site have more than one USB drive and rotate one to a friend or relative's house or whatever.

The drive that Calibre is on is a physical HD in my computer that just has certain directories backed up to the Google Drive on an offsite computer.
In another message I mentioned that I found in Calibre, where I can point the files to a new directory that I wouldn’t have backed up by Google Drive.
Kovid, do you think that will stop the issue?
