Uninstall Google Drive software. It's only suitable to transfer (at a pinch) between Android gadgets. It messes file names and Google/Alphabet scan the contents. You can't know where it's stored, how it's managed, privacy or security.

Also the Calibre FAQ explains to ONLY use local drives (USB, SCSI, eSATA etc count as local). A NAS, Share from other computer, any cloud storage are NOT local drives.

If you want to backup the Calibre Library use Export (and later Import). If really concerned about off site have more than one USB drive and rotate one to a friend or relative's house or whatever.
