There is a tweak for both Titles and Series:
You want Library Order
Bookname, The
You will need to recompute the sorts (you can update Title sort by selecting all, 'E' for bulk mode MDE and tick the box near the bottom.
I think Series sort is automatic (I can't find a 'recalculate' method in the MDE or Manage Series)
