I'm new here and decided to try Calibre. I updated to the latest version when I couldn't get the previous version to detect my Kindle Fire HD 10 (11th Generation). I have tried:
-turning off my firewall
-plugging in my Kindle before or after starting the app (as per someone's suggestion)
-checking the plug-ins, they are on
-checking the excluded devices, there are none
-rebooted my machine after checking to make sure the device is seen by the computer in the File Manager as "Fire" (it has a name within the Fire itself, I don't know if Windows should be detecting that)
From Preferences Debug:
