What is "FSDownloadContent"?

OK, I've been limited to downloading many Kindle books via the Download and Transfer via USB route as I'm told the Kindle for Mac application needs to be updated but when I try, I'm told it won't run on my MacOS version. The last makes sense because miMac is maxed out at MacOS 10.13.6 (High Sierra).

However, when I tried to download a book I bought today, instead of the normal booktitle.azw3 file, I get this "FSDownloadContent" with no file extension which won't load. However, I discovered that by adding the .azw3 extension, then I can at least add the book to Calibre.

But I'm curious if anyone knows what FSDownloadContent means exactly.
