I suggest to use/manage this with the functionality "Categories on separate lines" to leave the user free to choose which of the 2 presentations he prefers to use.
EDIT: After a second look, "Categories on separate lines" may not be ideal. Maybe a checkbox "Show 'Book files' and 'Data files' on separate lines" is better, option below and in the same column as the list "Categories on separate lines"

Going quickly back to the conversation, when I posted this idea of a "Extra data files present", I had thought to suggest to display it in the formats. But before really posting this I looked at the interface and... it seems difficult because the formats are displayed in a very precise way in the dialog "Edit metadata of One book", lhe cohabitation would have been very ugly, and as Kovid says, not really explicit that it is not a book format (So reduced to the smallest denominator, and the solution found is ideal (and even more so with your adjustment suggestion, it's perfect))
