Virtual Column Issue

If I define a virtual column like this:

Name:	1.jpg
Views:	110
Size:	49.6 KB
ID:	201209

the virtual column, in this case Creator, does not acquire all of the attributes of the real column, i.e. Author:

Author Click image for larger version

Name:	real.jpg
Views:	102
Size:	31.0 KB
ID:	201212 Creator Click image for larger version

Name:	virtual.jpg
Views:	113
Size:	31.2 KB
ID:	201211

I think i know why, but would welcome an explanation from the developers. From my perspective the important items are Manage xxxxx, and xxxxx (Creator) link options. Why do I want this, because I get irritated whenever I see something like this:

Name:	Author.jpg
Views:	108
Size:	14.6 KB
ID:	201213

rather than this:

Name:	Creator.jpg
Views:	107
Size:	14.6 KB
ID:	201214

I'm open to suggestions, but my preference would be a means by which I could assign a different Column Header to the authors column… ditto the id, identifiers, series, etc columns.

BR
