I don’t see where to edit so I’m posting again.
With the assistance of a Kobo rep, I downloaded a free book, this, while the kobo folder remains in my file explorer, and my screen remains off.
Peculiarly, even with the screen off, I was able to download a free book into my kobo!
The rep didn’t seem to know what’s going on. So I’m left with this, that even though connection results in the screen being off, I am able to download Books. I have the feeling I could edit the folder even with the display off and this peculiar connection situation. It’s a little nerve-racking though to do this kind of edit when the whole shut down process seems anomalous.
The nickel menu does require a fair bit of editing, it seems.
