You don't need to. Boox devices use MTP not USB mass storage. With MTP the PC asks the device nicely to copy the file and the device itself does so, and so if disconnected it just stops doing that. With USB mass storage the PC directly writes the file so if you disconnect while it's doing that it can corrupt things, hence the the need to safely eject.
