Wonderful. Best book I've read for months.

I just finished
Terry Pratchett: A Life With Footnotes by Rob Wilkins. yesterday, and I agree. It is very well put together and I found it fascinating. Aside from learning about Terry Pratchett and his work, it was also interesting to watch as Rob Wilkins' role morphed from personal assistant into something significantly more - surely not something he could have thought he was signing up for when he started.
And speaking of footnotes, in amongst the last few books I've also been reading from
What If? by Randall Munroe (the author of the xkcd cartoons) - this being another book with many footnotes. The subtitle "Serious Scientific Answers to Absurd Hypothetical Questions" summarises this quite perfectly. It is very entertaining, fun and yet intriguing, the text interspersed with relevant xkcd observations adding their own special chuckle as you go along. 4/5.
