Whatever improvement they made to make videos playable on some models with some waveforms has nothing to do with a GPU, a TPU, a TPM, a laser beam or an hyperconverged cluster of microservices running on the cloud.

The changes need to be done on the real thing: the eink screen, which is the bottleneck for FPS. But I get the point: an optimized waveform for videos doesn't sell as well as a new, shiny GPU. Whatever it means cause any Mali reference GPU from ARM holdings should be able to provide 60FPS from android 5 days.
