Tonight I first watched Tenacious D and the Pick of Destiny. The target audience is obviously 16 year old boys and stoners, that isn't to say it wasn't fun. There were a bunch of references to other movies and a lot of cameos. Besides Meat Loaf as Jack Black's father there's Ronnie James Dio, to who JB prays after his religious father rips of all his hard rock posters except the Dio one on the back of the door (Dio means God in Italian), there's Dave Grohl as Satan, Ben Stiller as Guitar Center Guy (with an impressive wig), Amy Poehler, Fred Armisen and Tim Robbins.

Then I watched The Black Phone, in which Ethan Hawke was very creepy. A good solid horror film.
