Again, Jon, this simply shows that Adobe screwed up. Dumping the entire stylesheet when the program runs into something that it does not understand? How that qualify as "any unsupported properties must be gracefully degraded"? Do you also complain that using auto for margin left and right does not center an image in ADE 2.0.1? That smallcaps does not work in ADE 2.0.1? That gesperrt text does not work in ADE 2.0.1? Or any of the other valid EPUB2 properties that ADE 2.0.1 does not support?
