The battery life on a Sage is reasonable. Four in the family have them and no-one is complaining. It's just not as good as some other ereaders (My Mars 7.8″ is worse and the 4.7″ Y-Beb P47L is terrible, but usable on the go.

They could make the case from recycled plastic, maybe add a slightly bigger battery, ditch all the magnets and the power case adaptor. The magnets are annoying. However it would only be for new Kobo users, like Libra 2 over Libra, or Elipsa 2 vs Elipsa, it wouldn't be a sensible upgrade for an existing Sage owner.

I hope they don't add so-called "wireless charging" (though it's not radio based but inductive it's inefficient and creates radio interference) as it's ecologically unsound and you need a USB cable charger to read while charging.
