Hooray, Pooh! I'm happy to hear that. I've had this ridiculous (but heartening) amount of emails from my customers, etc. announcing their first and second Shingrix vaccines (would that be Shingrixes?, she wondered?) and I'm genuinely glad that something good came out of all this.
Y'know, it's been what, 2.5 months and I
still have purple marks on my ribcage, front and back. Not as prevalent, red, "nasty," etc. as the original rash, but for a few days there, this past week, I was actually wondering if the creeping crud was recurring. I've never managed to get rid of the entire rash, (or signs of it) so apparently, I can't (yet) get the Shingrix for myself. You're meant to wait 30 days after the rash leaves, disappears, etc. I may choose to LIE about the rash, at this rate and get the damned thing!
Oh, I'm reasonably sure that the purple marks are just...scarring, or something and NOT the recurrence of this horrible stuff. Not sure why they would scar, though--I was devout about not scratching and all that. Oh, well. Let's face it, at my age, ain't nobody lookin' at my damn nekkid ribcage, anyway....
