I recall the reason I thought of posting. Renaming for reference works like dictionary or encyclopedia, e.g. chapter_A, _B, _C, etc. If there cases of needing more than 26 renames –*other languages? –, I'm not sure. Maybe transliteration of Sanskrit or other scripts someday, eventually?
Such is useful as one as one may do much editing post-naming of files, and referring and finding each becomes much easier.
If someday you'd consider it, I think on Windows, and macOS – perhaps too Linux –, there is some control that expands a dialog, such as a right pointing arrow that then shows another part? Such maybe something like:
renaming scheme or something:
- numerical: 01, 02, 03, ...
- upper-case alphabetical: A, B, C, ...
- lower-case alphabetical: a, b, c, ...
...
If one does nothing, default behavior so maybe it remains as simple as it is now.
