I received a letter from the IRS requesting more information for my tax return. No problem. They have 2 ways to submit the form: fax or mail. And they seem to prefer fax. They say if you have don't have a fax machine, you can use an online fax service, but be careful of scams and understand their privacy policy.
So as a tax payer, I can electronically send info to some third party who then faxes it to the IRS, vs the IRS providing some electronic service. Wouldn't it make more sense for the IRS to help the filers by providing this "online fax service" itself? The IRS is happy to take my money online, but they can't take documents?
I think the Illuminate have infiltrated the IRS, own the USPS and fax companies, and don't want to loose a revenue stream.
