You've already given major spoilers just by naming the characters in the book. You really should go back and edit your post to put in spoiler tags for all the characters in the book. That means that anyone reading your post will know these characters are alive and any from the previous books don't die. So don't say you aren't giving spoilers because you are giving spoilers.
