As far as I know you just copy your custom fonts to the Kobo /fonts subdirectory in the root of the Kobo. Create it if it's not already present.

This is the same directory used when you copy custom fonts to be used by the Kobo's own firmware. I think the KOReader directory .adds/koreader/fonts you mentioned may be the one KOReader uses for its own internally-used fonts.

Also, I may have misunderstood what you wrote, but you do need to copy all 4 Georgia ttf files (regular, italic, bold, bolditalic) not just the regular one.
