That was a pitfall for me at first, as I run a Dockerized instance of Calibre on my NAS, and the DeDRM Tools wouldn't work when I downloaded them to my Desktop and imported them from the NAS.
You did spend a lot of money just to be able to download new Kindle eBooks.
