Probably. I could add that setting in the JS Customization.
I will look at setting a personal option for http and others in JS Customization for NV.
Truth is: I would like an option that would apply to all http:\\ urls in calibre. But I'd settle for a JS->NV option to use a different browser
I'd use Edge as my NV browser.

comes to fruition, then my use case for using a different Browser in NV would be moot - I should have thought of having calibre to create and use a default browser instance donkeys years ago.

I changed all my onenote:https: links to onenote:http, and I'm pretty sure all my 'normal' web links are https: which is hooked to Edge via the PI->NV tweak.
I'm happy with that, but also happy to test your 4 variants, if needed.
