I have no constant need of tweaking, but I'm exceedingly fussy about how I want the text to look. On a Kobo I can make it look exactly the way I want. I haven't touched the settings on my Kobos for over a year, not since the first week after I got them. OTOH, I was never able to make the text look just right either on my latest Kindle (the Oasis 3) or on a Nook. I tried a hundred times, every which way, and I was still not satisfied. I'm afraid the result would be the same on a Pocketbook. So, for me, the fewer options, the more frustrated I get and the more I try to tweak - the polar opposite of you.
