It's a cute little show, most of it made so by that very tall assistant!

I struggled to watch the end of Carnivale Row, but man, what a disappointment S.2 ended up being. Total loss, and by the end, I was rooting for all--all--the protagonists to die. Literally. hated them all.

We've given up on Perry Mason (new) S2. I wasn't that wild about S1, which I thought was abysmally dismal and grim and not at all like the books (or the show, for that matter), didn't honor ESG's work at all. It also had zero emotional payoff at the end.

S2 is just...worse, in some ways. Again, it's hard to like ANY of the characters (except Paul Drake, possibly). And both Drake and Mason, who were (physically) big men in the novels (and the show) are certainly not in this show. They're both on the decidedly smaller side. I won't get into all the other "different than the book" stuff; we are all accustomed to that sort of thing from Hollyweird. But once again, it's all just too trope-y, and I can't like Mason, not wild about Della...Burger is okay but I mean, why watch?

I even tried to watch it pretending that it wasn't PM that it was some show called Joe Smith, but then it was even less likeable. LOL.
