I went there on my visit to Sydney. I resisted buying the bag of Thorntons Toffee, knowing I would eat it all that night in the room (a compulsive snacking I was trying to resist while there ).

The muscat comes from a bottle shop near my husband's school, so it's far easier to get.

We're hoping to plan a trip to Rutherglen in the not too distant future. It's my favourite wine growing region.
We had a quick visit to Brown Brothers at Milawa while passing through on our way to Melbourne a few years ago. Their restaurant/"Epicurean Centre" looked great, and I was assured it is. I'm rather fond of their Patricia Noble Riesling.

The Hunter's nice, but The Barossa is too big and commercial
I've never been to The Barossa, though, coming from Newcastle originally (and with my mum still living in there), I've been to the Hunter (also, my brother-out-law has worked in a couple of restaurants there, before moving up this way).

Cheers,
