For epubs I can just unzip it and go to OEBPS\Images and select some or all of the images I want gone. easy-peasy.

But I can't for the pdfs.

I tried to do the pdf to pdf conversion using calibre, go to pdf input, check no images and started the conversion. But the output was all messy, from the overall layout to wrong linebreak, to all fonts lost etc.

So how should I configure my conversion settings, so that pdf retains its originality, but just without images?
