IMHO it is easier and faster to do a proper OCR on a computer and save cpu cycles on your ereader. Also a proper pdf with a text layer should be way smaller than the same pdf as a bunch of scanned pages.

I used Adobe and saved pdf again. Afterwards I can underline the right words in the pdf.
