I find the Scribe harder to hold and noticeably heavier than the Elipsa. The back of the Scribe is smooth and slippery, while that of the Elipsa is not. The Scribe is only slightly heavier, but it does make a difference (for me, at least). The Elipsa is just more comfortable to hold while reading.
