I'm working on getting away from Barnes & Noble after my latest Nook developed problems which became annoying. So, I purchased a Lenovo Tab M10 Plus (3rd Gen) and downloaded eboox fromt the Play Store. So far, it does everything the Nook app does but better. Don't think it's open source, but I've been pleased with it so far.
And yes, I do use Calibre to manage my library, but I have that on my computer. I don't read books on my phone at all. The screen is too small.
