I recently noticed a Harper Collins sale advertised on Twitter, so I thought I’d reply here again.
Kobo does offer sales, but many times they are Indy only. Those are often the ones filling your mailbox if you sign up to Kobo’s mailing list. If you follow @Kobo on Twitter, they will occasionally post sales with the hashtag #KoboDeals. The only problem is that most of those sales are Canada only, but they are from major publishers.
The Big 5 don’t like to discount ebooks often, and when they do, it’s often Kindle only. I waited three years to catch “12 Rules” by Jordan Peterson on sale. I waited two years for “The Ghost and Mrs. Muir”. The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes by Suzanne Collins has *never* been on sale. It is always $17.99 on all platforms. I keep waiting…
The best method is to have eReaderIQ alert you to a Kindle sale, then press Kobo to price match if they haven’t already.
