Since for a large part I buy older books, I can live with Kindle for PC version 1.17 not accepting any e-book published after Jan. 3 '23 - these recent books I'll get in EPub. I still use Kindle for PC, deDRM and then Send-to-Kindle because I find it practical to have all my e-books in the Amazon cloud and arranged in collections that I can use on my Kindle(s).
But I think I read somewhere it is not possible to make any NEW installation of Kindle for PC 1.17 on a new computer (or an old one after a crash), even if one has the software available - presumbaly because Amazon wouldn't accept registering it ?
Does anyone know whether such is the case - having tested it in real-life conditions ? If so, THAT would annoy me.
Thanks a lot in advance for any clue.
