On an individual level, I can appreciate that. On a societal level, I think it would run the risk of causing stagnation, drowning out attempts at innovation by human authors.
A musicGPT AI that was only ever trained on classical music is unlikely to develop blues, ragtime, ska, or rap. And when AI can generate good enough material for pennies, no human author or composer would be able to make a full-time living from their craft.
